Qiratul Qur’an Competition

The annual QQC (Qiratul Qur’an Competition) is back and bigger than ever! This year, MAC MSA is proud to host the Brothers’ Senior (March 17, 2007) and the Sisters’ segment (February 10, 2007) of QQC.

Also, as a bonus this year, $1500 will be awarded to the winning MSA. That’s a $500 increase from last year!

The Brothers’ Senior QQC will be held at the Dofasco Centre for the Arts, Home of Theatre Aquarius. Each team will have four participants and each member will be responsible for a surah and should be able to begin reciting from any part within the surah. The surahs for this year are as follows:
1) Surat Yasin
2) Surat Al Hijr
3) Surat Al Furqan
4) Surat Ar Rahman

The Sisters’ team will have three participants. Each member will be responsible for a surah (teams may choose who recites each surah, and this decision will also be due in January) and should be able to begin reciting from any part within that surah. The surahs for this year are as follows:
1) Surat Yasin
2) Surat Al Furqan
3) Surat Ar Rahman
